With the latest Google Maps update v5.7, Google has brought Navigation to India. A full review is yet to come on Navigation also we did not check if voice based navigation got enabled or not. Default Navigation app still shows "Google Maps Navigation is not yet available in this locations" but you can get it working using the Maps app.
On Google Maps app click on Directions and choose Start and End points. Select the Transit (bus icon) option. Select a Transit route and click on the blue Navigation icon on top-right corner. You got Navigation working on you device!!
At present the Transit Navigation is only available in:
- Bangalore Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation Ltd
- Chennai Chennai MRTS
- Delhi Delhi Metro Rail
- Kolkata Kolkata Metro
